Eau Gallie Arts District · Melbourne

Things to do in Downtown Eau Gallie

Make a day of EGAD: coffee and murals, galleries and vintage finds, indoor mini golf, history tours, riverfront food, then a show or a rooftop drink.

Downtown Eau Gallie has its own center around Highland Avenue, Pineapple Avenue and West Eau Gallie Boulevard. Start with the things you want to do, then join nearby stops into a walk; this is a separate district from Downtown Melbourne's New Haven Avenue.

Galleries, coffee and shopping work best earlier in the day. The brewery, pubs, theater and Pineapples give you reasons to stay into the evening. Anaya and several daytime stops close on particular weekdays, so choose the date before locking in the order.

Put the stops together

Choose your outing

Start with a plan that fits your day, then follow the individual stop guides for the details.

A relaxed Wednesday–Saturday daytime outing

Coffee, color & vintage finds

  1. Start with Anaya

Have coffee and a bite before setting off along Highland Avenue. Leave the afternoon coffee stop off a Sunday or Monday plan, when the shop is closed.

  2. Pick your murals

Use the official mural map to choose a short circuit. Leave time for photographs and the artwork you notice between the named stops.

  3. Step inside Fifth Avenue

Plan this stop after the gallery's 11 a.m. opening. See the featured exhibition as well as the member artists' work.

  4. Browse Rehab

Finish with vintage furniture, art and home-decor browsing at the US-1 edge. Check the map before leaving Highland Avenue so you use the appropriate crossings.

A longer daytime visit with a tour booked ahead

History, mini golf & the riverfront

  1. Book the morning history tour

Reserve a Rossetter visit at least a day ahead. Allow about 90 minutes and confirm the tour's meeting point in the Roesch House.

  2. Play through Dreamland

Head to the gallery's 18-hole indoor course. Enter through Rocky Water Mercantile at 1420 Highland Avenue; children need an accompanying adult.

  3. Make time for lunch on the water

Choose the Melbourne Squid Lips on Pineapple Avenue for a riverfront meal. Allow for a possible wait instead of treating it as a timed reservation.

  4. End with the square

Take a short park break among the oaks before heading home. On days without a booked museum tour, start with mini golf and use this as a shorter family outing.

An evening built around a confirmed Funky Dog performance

Dinner & an improv night

  1. Share an early pizza

Start dinner at FM Pizza Oven with enough time to eat and walk to the theater. Check both the restaurant hours and your ticket before picking a meal time.

  2. Settle in for the show

Buy tickets online for the actual date. For the published Fun & Games format, doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. performance.

  3. Make the last stop optional

If Lourdes is open and taking guests, continue the conversation in its library-themed bar. Check the venue's current entry details before making it a fixed part of the evening.

Before you head over

Arrival, parking & local pointers

Choose the right downtown

Use Highland Avenue or Pineapple Avenue for this EGAD outing. New Haven Avenue belongs to the separate Downtown Melbourne guide; plan a separate drive or ride if you want to visit both districts.

EGAD district map

Match the plan to opening days

Anaya closes Sunday and Monday, Fifth Avenue's regular gallery days are Wednesday–Sunday, and Rehab closes Monday. A Wednesday–Saturday visit gives the daytime art-and-coffee plan the most overlap; reconfirm holiday changes with the individual venues.

Book history and shows before the meal

Rossetter tours need 24 hours' notice. Funky Dog tickets are bought online, and its Friday events are occasional. Let a confirmed reservation or ticket set the timing for the rest of your visit.

Use public routes and current signs

Check the district map, use marked crossings on West Eau Gallie Boulevard and US-1, and follow the parking signs at the space you choose. Rehab sits at the US-1 edge, while Squid Lips and Pineapples take the route toward the river on Pineapple Avenue.

District map

Check the date on special events

Art openings, markets, live music and district celebrations follow their own calendars. Use a dated organizer listing for the day you are visiting; an old poster is not evidence that an event runs every week.
