THE SETTING

Know the place.

The American Space Museum brings the Space Coast story indoors with artifacts and exhibits tied to the workers, astronauts and programs that shaped nearby Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center.

It is within walking distance of Space View Park, so a museum visit and launch-viewing stop can share one downtown plan. The museum specifically encourages launch-day visitors to use that pairing while traffic builds or clears.

A LITTLE PLANNING

Before you go.

  • The museum currently publishes daily visitor hours, with a later opening on Sunday. Confirm holiday closures before planning around it.
  • Space View Park is a separate public park. A museum ticket does not reserve launch-viewing space or parking.
