Start around Indialantic's Fifth Avenue and Nance Park, then follow A1A south into Melbourne Beach for Ocean Avenue, Ryckman Park and a quieter barrier-island pace.
Indialantic is the busier, more compact part of this outing. Nance Park and Fifth Avenue create a real beach-town center with ocean access, restaurants and shops close together.
Melbourne Beach gets quieter as you head south. Ocean Avenue, Ryckman Park and the long A1A corridor toward conservation land make it a better choice for a slower afternoon or sunset.
